"EASY A CHALLENGE" DAY 2 (MORNING DEVOTION): YOUR LIFE, A WITNESS OF THE GOSPEL

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!

DAY 2

MORNING DEVOTION

YOUR LIFE, A WITNESS OF THE GOSPEL

(REREAD DANIEL CHAPTER 1)

From Jesus Christ himself, we find the mission for all Christians, and how to hasten his second coming. ‘’ And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” Matthew 24:14…

Christ is telling us here that we can hasten his return by preaching the gospel to all the world for a witness. All the pain and suffering that we are experiencing in this world can come to an end, if we obey this simple command.

WHAT IS THIS GOSPEL? FOR WHAT WITNESS?

Daniel was someone who was eager to preach the gospel to the world as a witness, something that we will look further into as we continue in this study. This gospel that Daniel presented to the King and people of Babylon, can be found in the book of Revelation, represented by three messages, given to the Apostle John, by three Angels.

Here is John’s description of his account of the First Angel, before it speaks… “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice.” Revelation 14:6-7

The message that John is about to receive is the EVERLASTING GOSPEL, but there is something strange about this. Take a moment and ask yourself this question….. How did John know that this was the Gospel, when he did not hear the Angel speak as yet? John saw the Angel and Identified it’s message first, then in verse seven, he hears the Angel present the message with a loud voice.

This is what Christ meant when he said the gospel should be preached to all the world for a witness. People are to be able to see the gospel in our daily lives, before we say anything. Often times we preach till we are blue in the face, but we do not live by the words we profess. The only way that people will be converted is if they have a practical example of the word of God. The only way they will see it is if you show it in your daily life. When this happens individuals will listen to anything you have to say.

DANIEL’S WITNESS

Daniel was a living embodiment of the gospel, as he literally lived the word of God. As Daniel chose not to eat of the king’s meat (staying true to the dietary laws of God), he set up a challenge against the King… God’s Word vs. The Intelligence of Man.

In this 10-day challenge, Daniel said that His adherence to the word of God would show a stark difference in his Mind & Body, over those who followed the King’s diet. After the ten days, the gospel was preached for a witness, as the Babylonians saw a difference in Daniel and the Three Hebrew boys, over themselves. Their countenance was Fairer and Fatter than the Babylonians (Daniel 1:15)… They were also seen to be ten times wiser than his Babylonian counterparts (Daniel 1:20).

When the King saw how their following of the word of God changed their mind and body completely, he immediately took them on as Advisors. The king saw them as being smarter than anyone of his advisors, magicians, or astrologers, so he was keen to listen to anything they had to say.

This put Daniel and the three Hebrew boys in a position to speak to the king about the Gospel, as he now desired to know more about this God that they served.

The lesson we learn here is that, the best way to preach the gospel, is to let others witness that it really works, in your own life. When they see this, they will come to you asking to know more about the God that you serve. This is way better than trying the usual method of trying to compel someone to give you a chance to present the Gospel to them.

Learning this, you must understand… This challenge is not solely for you to get an A in your class… There are many people who do not believe in Jesus Christ and may think you are foolish for thinking this method can help you improve your grades……… But when they see the stark difference between you and them in grades, health, body, and mindset, they will be more curious about the God you serve…

Are you ready to preach this gospel for a witness???????????
